England for a Christmas Break with Astra Airlines - You bet, if the price is right!

Brits in Crete and in other parts of Greece, are you dreaming of home this Christmas? And there is nothing like the iconic red telephone box with a covering of snow to remind us of the Britain we left behind as we sit and ponder of friends and relatives at home. A dream can be reality though.

For those of us in Greece, I came across a special offer from Astra Airlines for the festive season. This year 2014, they are offering return special flights from Athens to London Stansted starting on December 23. The return flights from Stansted are within the first 10 days or so into the new Year 2015.

If England is not your cup of tea this time round, then Astra Airlines are offering services to the continental capitals of Paris, Prague, Vienna, Budapest and Zurich over the holiday period too.

Let us hope more flights will open up to UK from Crete in the winter months for Brits on the island. Unfortunately Easyjet are not operating flights to/from Crete during this period.
