Greece Default Watch. There are times when as brits living in Crete we have to tip the hat to a Greek with a bone to pick, and with an egg-in-hand at the ready.

During this economic crisis for #Greece, it is good idea not to challenge any Cretan who has a beef with the Central Government in Athens.

We should never forget living in Crete, that Cretans would like nothing better than to be independent from the rest of Greece. The reason: the Cretans do not like the fact they contribute more in tax revenues to Athens and do not get a fair shake of the national distribution of the proceeds of those same taxes on a regional basis.

The Greek deputy minister in the lady protester's eyes clearly deserved what he got!
